In the final episode of the series, Mary showcases her dishes that are perfect for a party. Sometimes cooking for a crowd can be very daunting, but Mary loves sharing her ideas that are fun, different and don't take forever to prepare.

A visit to the Isle of Wight sees Mary taste some different varieties of tomato, before she returns to the kitchen to whip up a tomato salad with whipped goat's cheese. Finally for something a bit different for a party, a salmon and herb coulibiac, and for something more traditional, a show-stopping summer party gateau.

 1. Thai chicken curry

This is an easy, foolproof Thai chicken curry recipe. The water chestnuts add a lovely crunch, but should be added at the end so they stay crisp.

 2. Summer party gâteau

Big, bold and beautiful, this summer party gâteau is a real show-stopper. Add more fruits or even flowers for a very special occasion. You’ll need to make the sponge mixture in two batches as it does not work whisking all eight eggs at once.

 3. Sumptious salmon and herb coulibiac

This dish is perfect party food, and great for feeding a crowd. The crisp filo pastry and flavoursome rice make this coulibiac lighter than the traditional Russian dish.

Episode 5 : Mary shares her foolproof recipes for those days when you are simply run off your feet. Her mantra is ‘get organised and try to do things ahead’, and the dishes she prepares in this episode are ones you can get together in no time.
