Love Your Garden episode 6 2017

In Love Your Garden episode 6 2017, Alan Titchmarsh and the team head to Southampton to turn a featureless suburban back garden into a super-stylish contemporary outdoor space.

The garden is for the Jordan family who are coping with the loss of a devoted mother and wife. Shelly-Ann died of cancer in April 2016 aged just 39 leaving husband Tony and their two children Tyler (17) and Amelia (12).

Shelly desperately wanted to create a garden for her children to enjoy with their friends and family but died before she could make this dream a reality.
Alan, Katie, Frances and David – take on the challenge of creating a garden that will both appeal to teens and tweens, keep their mother’s memory alive and help the whole family through the still very raw grieving process.
They pack the space with wonderful ideas and use gorgeous planting to make it one of the most striking gardens of the series.

Alan Titchmarsh travels around the country seeking out some of Britain's loveliest domestic gardens. He will be focusing not on celebrated public gardens, but on the wonderful outdoor living spaces created by ordinary Britons.

Alan looks at how these beautiful gardens - from cottage gardens to traditional rose gardens - have been created, and helps viewers understand how they can get a similar effect in their own spaces. He is helped along the way by a team of experts who will be passing on their own particular wisdom.

Food expert Valentine Warner has tips for those who are hoping to grow their own, wildlife expert Charlotte Uhlenbroek reveals how to encourage (or discourage) insects and animals into the garden, garden designer Matt James has ideas on getting the look right and Laetitia Maklouf demonstrates how to get the most out of the tiniest of spaces, whether they be a conservatory or a single window box.

Love Your Garden is a British gardening programme that was first broadcast on ITV on 10 June 2014. The show is hosted by Alan Titchmarsh alongside co-presenters David Domoney, Katie Rushworth and Frances Tophill and sees the team visit locations around the United Kingdom helping people to transform their gardens.
